When I first saw this Cravendale Milk boxes I was convinced they had to be designed by a Swiss designer. The simplicity and strong contrasted color panels somehow gave me a strong Helvetica kind of feeling. Little did I know I could not have been further from the truth. Cravendale is a British milk brand that has successfully created a universe of fun and joyfulness around their milk portfolio. Not afraid to take a risk with their on pack communication, the brand has explored different design directions, this beautifully illustrated pack being among them. Responsible for this pack design is British/Finnish illustrator Sanna Annukka. Sanna spent many summers of her childhood in her country of origin, Finland. There, often beyond the Arctic Circle and camping in night-less Lapland wilderness, she developed a passion for nature folklore, which she now artfully crafts in her contemporary illustrative style.
